ベータ版はご紹介していませんでしたが、iChat を便利にする機能を追加してくれる Chax がアップデート。Mac OS X Leopard 専用版です。
このバージョンでは、スクリーンがスリープしていたり、スクリーンセーバが起動していても、新しくテキスト／AV チャットが入ってきた時などに自動的に解除するオプションが加わりました。
また、「表示」メニューからメンバーリストをハンドルで並び替えることもできるようになっています。
Chax の設定は、インストール後に iChat の環境設定に表示される「Chax」タブで。
チャットメンバーからメッセージが届くと、Dock の iChat のアイコンが相手のアバター画像に変わって通知してくれます。チャット相手の名前も表示できます。
フリーウェアですが、気に入ったら寄附を検討してほしいそうです。
