Mac OS X の Core Image の世界を楽しめる、LiveQuartz Image Editor がアップデート。このバージョンから Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard 専用になっています。
このバージョンでは、クリップボードにコピーした画像から新規に編集ができるようになりました。また、「デバイスから読み込み…」を選択すると、
Mac に接続しているスキャナ、カメラ、iPhone から直接画像を読み込んで編集できるようになっています。
右側の「＋」ボタンをクリックして、カテゴライズされた Core Image フィルタの中から、画像に適用するものをサンプルで確認して選択できます。「ジオメトリの調整」には「反転」フィルタが、「スタイルを調整」には「影」フィルタが追加されています。
メインウインドウの左下で各フィルタの調節も可能。
ブラシなどの編集ツールや、レイヤーも使えます。
編集した画像は、RHIF (LiveQuatz) 形式のほか、PNG、JPEG、TIFF などの主要な画像形式で保存できます。
