一つ前のバージョンをご紹介していませんでしたが、Web サイトのアカウント情報を管理するオンラインウェア、1Password と情報を同期できる iPhone アプリケーション、1Password touch がアップデート。利用には iPhone OS 3.0 以降が必要です。
このバージョンでは、1Password touch のデータベースをリセットして、設定を最初から行なえるオプションが加わりました。「Settings」の「Database」で「Reset Database」ボタンをタップし、
確認のために「NO」の文字を削除して「YES」を入力するとすべてのデータベースが削除されます。前バージョンからはデータベースのバックアップ／リストア機能も加わり、「Database」の「Backup & Restore」ボタンをタップして、表示されるアドレスに Wi-Fi 接続している Mac/PC の Web ブラウザでアクセスすると、
1Password touch のデータを Mac/PC にバックアップすることができます。
初めて利用する方は、まずロック解除コードとマスターパスワードを設定。「Settings」の「Wi-Fi Sync」をオンにして、Mac 側の 1Password で「Sync」メニューから「Sync using Wi-Fi」を選択すると、Wi-Fi 接続している iPhone/iPod touch が表示されるので、
「Sync」ボタンをクリックして 1Password touch で表示されているシークレットコードを入力すると、情報を同期することができます。
同期が完了したら接続するサイトを選択して URL をタップすると、内蔵ブラウザで Webサイトを表示しアカウント情報を自動入力。
このバージョンでは、編集モードにしなくてもタップしてパスワードなどをクリップボードにコピーできるようになりました。
アカウント情報だけでなく、秘密のメモや、クレジットカード、ソフトのシリアル番号などの「Wallet」情報も同期可能。一定時間経過すると、自動的にロックして大切な情報をしっかりガードしてくれます。上位版の 1Password Pro もあります。
